Use of Statistical Concepts in Industrial Settings

Abstract

Statistical tools and concepts can be applied to many different fields of application. In recent years, there has been a great deal of emphasis on the use of these tools and concepts in industrial settings. The speaker will review some of the application of these concepts in industrial settings, in particular, in manufacturing and product development environment. Finally, some of the key ingredients that makes for successful application of these tools will be discussed along with some of the issues and challenges.
