Rice Consulting Services
All Other Rice Academic Departments - We welcome faculty and students from other Rice
departments on a limited basis for relatively small projects. Projects requiring extensive research from
departments other than those in George R. Brown School of Engineering may be
subject to consultation fees. Co-authorship
is requested on projects to which significant statistical contributions are
made.
Rice Operational Departments and
Committees - Services provided to
Rice operational departments or university committees are subject to
consultation fees.
SCL services typically include but may not be limited to the following:
- Experimental design
- Statistical software consultation
- Statistical analysis
- Data collection strategies
In general, an initial consultation is set up with one of our analysts. This is an exploratory session, the primary purpose of which is to educate the analyst with respect to the problem. One or more follow-up sessions are then scheduled for the purpose of providing solutions and suggestions.
We have consulted across virtually all disciplines at Rice University and have dealt with a wide variety of interesting problems. Please contact the SCL with any questions or to schedule an initial consultation.
