SAS Resources for NU MSPA Students

Several courses in the MSPA program use SAS. For PREDICT 410 we will support two SAS options: (1) the SAS Studio web application (free), and (2) the PC desktop version of SAS with the Educational Analytical Suite (~$100).

For beginning students I will say that the SAS Educational Analytical Suite is a good value for the money, as it offers both a one year SAS license and access to SAS training videos, however you must have a PC (Windows OS) to run it. SAS does not support any desktop software for Mac OS-X. If you only have a Mac computer, then you must use the SAS studio web application.

Here are instructions for obtaining the SAS Studio web application. [pdf]

Here are instructions for obtaining access to the SSCC Linux cluster and using the SAS Studio web application on the SSCC. This is the recommended SAS 'installation' for all MSPA students. [pdf]

In addition to these resources SAS has set up some online tutorials that are available on the web. [link]
