## Homework Assignments

__Homework 0: Assigned 8/22/17, due 8/24/17 (in class)__ - "Statistics in the News," good for 1 point on final course grade.

Write a little report summarizing an example of statistics in the news. To receive credit, your example must (1) state the 'headline'; (2) summarize the data, with an explanation for the data presentation technique you chose; (3) state and evaluate/critique the claim; (4) include the citation; (5) paper must be NO MORE THAN 1 PAGE!; (6) in order to receive credit, you must submit a hard copy of your paper and also upload your paper to the appropriate assignment area on Owl-Space.
