My name is Jasmine Williams and I am a recent graduate of Grambling State University in Grambling, La. This is my second year participating in the RUSIS program and I?m very grateful for the opportunity to participate in research a second time. My goal for this year was to narrow down the field of statistics and choose a concentration to focus on for graduate school. I really enjoyed the program last year and while it turned me on to statistics it also helped me to get lost again in terms of picking a graduate school major. I decided to pursue statistics in graduate school and didn?t realize how broad statistics is also. So this year, I am just learning a lot about all of the applications of different areas in statistics in order to make a good decision for my future
