Hola, mi nombre es Javier I. Gomez. I am an Applied Mathematics student with a minor in Physics at the University of Texas at El Paso entering my senior year. I applied to the RUSIS 06? program because I wanted gain experience and learn more about opportunities to continue my education. Under the advising of Dr Javier Rojo, I have been working on a finance problem related to portfolio selection using statistical methods. I am planning about going to Graduate School just after graduating, still deciding where but I know I would like to concentrate in the field of Applied Mathematics and work on Optimization Problems.
