My name is Kunal Mangal. I'm from Phoenix, Arizona and I go to school at the University of Arizona, where I major in Economics and International Studies, with a minor in Mathematics. I plan to pursue a Ph.D. in Economics, and I hope to eventually conduct research that lies at the intersection of political philosophy and economics. I decided to come to RUSIS because statistics is very important to my field of study. Since we all necessarily see only a small fraction of society at a time, the social sciences rely heavily on data analysis to get the big picture. Through my study of statistics, I hope to gain a better understanding of how to do that task more effectively and ethically. My hobbies include reading, thinking, and improvising on the piano.
