My name is Jasmine Williams and I am a native of San Francisco, Ca. I am a
senior mathematics major at Grambling State University in Grambling, La. I
have enjoyed being introduced to the world of statistics at Rice this summer
and I intend to pursue a graduate degree in the statistics field. My
favorite lecture was from Dr. Rob Santos on survey sampling because its a
very interesting; its almost like solving puzzles using these unique math
tools. Also, the projects that he has worked on are real life situations
which make this specific concentration all the more interesting to me.
