Abstract

It has been known, for quite some time now, that stable processes have a good deal of interesting structure, much of which has been worked out by a large number of researchers over the years. In this talk we present some examples where stable processes appear intrinsically as part of the solution to interesting problems, although the problems themselves do not involve stable processes.
