Abstract

        This paper further develops some stochastic comparisons on conditional order statistics, which serve as the residual life and the inactivity time of a k-out-of-n system; We also investigate the stochastic behavior of the conditional order statistics from a population with certain aging properties. These new results strengthen some conclusions in both Kahladi and Shaked (2006) and Hu, Jin and Khaledi (2007).
