Abstract

Genome scale experiments generate information on thousands of genes.  Distilling biological interpretation from voluminous results is a central challenge.  Annotations are a central mechanism for aggregating genes into cohorts to facilitate analysis and generate interpretable content.  In this talk we will review some of the annotation structures which can be used in analysis as well as some of the  statistical methods  for performing analysis with annotation data.
