Lodging

Conference activities will be on the campus of Rice University. Lodging for Speakers and participants is available at the

Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center Hotel

located at 6633 Travis Street. The hotel is literally across the street (south of Dryden Road) from the BioScience Research Collaborative (BRC) building, the conference venue. The BRC building and hotel are just South of the Rice University campus. See map below.
  • Conference rate is $129/night (double occupancy, 2 double beds or one king size bed). This room rate is available until August 1st or whenever all rooms (set aside as a part of the conferenc(room block) have been reserved, whichever comes first. PLEASE NOTE: This Hilton is the closest hotel to the world-renown Texas Medical Center - MD Anderson Cancer Center complex, and it generally has minimal to no vacancy's, therfore we encourage all prospective conference participants to reserve their lodging EARLY.
  • After JUly 31 there is no guarantee of room availability and the cost will likely reflect the hotel's regular daily rate (>$200/night).
  • Only ICSP2012 workshop or conference registarnts are eligible for the $129/night rate.
  • Meals are not included as part of the room rate
  • For Hilton guests, you can eat at the hotel or any of the restaurants in University City (via hotel shuttle).
  • To reduce your lodging costs, we recommend that participants share a room. For those who will share a room, be sure to reserve a room with two double beds. Only one roommate needs to make a reservation. Request split billing during check-in/out (both room mates will need to be present during check-out, unless you make prior payment arrangements will the hotel). The conference organizers will not be coordinating room sharing.
