Labs: time instructor e-mail Monday 7-9 Heidi Spratt(head) spratt@stat.rice.edu Tuesday 3-5 Richard Swartz rswartz@stat.rice.edu Wednesday 3-5 Chad Shaw cashaw@stat.rice.edu 7-9 Michael Swartz mswartz@stat.rice.edu Thursday 7-9 Nancy Glenn nglenn@stat.rice.edu Deadlines: Labs must be completed and turned in at the end of the lab period. If you make up a lab (see Make-up labs) or switch to a different lab (see Switching labs), then your completed lab must be turned in on the day prior to the next lab. No make up labs or switched labs will be accepted late. NO EXCEPTIONS. Grading: Graded labs will be returned to students on the occasion of the NEXT lab meeting. Make-up labs: You are welcome to make up any lab outside of your scheduled lab time on your OWN time. The deadline for labs still applies, however, and late labs will not be accepted. Note that you must notify your lab instructor PRIOR TO your scheduled lab time if you plan to complete the lab on your own. Otherwise, your absence will treated as a skipped lab (see below), and the penalty will be a zero. NO EXCEPTIONS. Switching labs: If for some reason you are unable to make your scheduled lab time for a particular week, you are permitted to switch to a different time. However, you must follow the procedure below for switching labs: (i) Notify AND RECEIVE PERMISSION via e-mail from your own lab instructor. (ii) Notify AND RECEIVE PERMISSION via e-mail from the lab instructor whose time you want to switch to. (iii) Complete (i) and (ii) by no later than the Friday of the week before you want to switch labs. Failure to complete steps (i)-(iii) will be grounds for any other lab instructor (besides your own) to refuse you admittance to their lab. Switching labs is a convenience for you. Skipping labs: No lab grades will be dropped. Penalty for missing a lab without notifying your lab instructor will be a zero. NO EXCEPTIONS.
