All computer names and commands appear in ``verbatim'' type style, e.g. unix command. Long lists of Splus code appear with the prompt > (or + for a continuation of a line) beginning each line. To get help within Splus, just use the help function. For example, help about the time series plotting routine is obtained by help(ts.plot). If you are working within X-windows (or perhaps a similar window environment), type help.start() to pop up an interactive window that you can use to get help without interrupting your Splus session. Comments in Splus are anything after a pound sign #.
