Location
The conference will be held April 5-6, 2002.
Friday, April 5: The University of Texas School of Public Health (UTSPH, Room
102b).
Saturday, April 6: Sewall Hall, Rice University.
Travel
Individuals are responsible for their own travel to and from the conference. Houston is within a 3-4 hour drive from several major cities in Texas, including Austin, Dallas, and San Antonio. Many people use Southwest Airlines to fly within Texas and if possible it is recommended to land at Houston Hobby Airport. A taxi will run between $25-30 from Hobby to the Medical Center/Rice area. There is a shuttle from Intercontinental Airport to any Med Center hotel for $18.

Hotel
Rooms have been reserved at the Holiday Inn and the Crowne Plaza Hotel, both of which are within walking distance of Rice, MDACC, and UTSPH. Alternative hotels near Rice and the Medical Center are listed here.
